Take a deep breath and center yourself to feel the steady and healing energy of mother earth. When you are ready we shall begin.

The wind whistles in cadence of whispers. Snow falls heavy on the ground. Light pours out from the ornate stained glass windows of a church. And you can hear beautiful angelic-like singing from inside. You walk to the church; however, your legs feel heavy. You see a small fire around the side of the church. There are people huddled there together. Do you see anyone that you know? You ponder why they are standing there?

You walk closer to the church steps. You look up and see a sign that says all are welcome here. You reach for a doorknob that is made up of five golden pentacles fused together. As if you are a ghost, your hand appears to go right through it. You turn around to see a couple holding hands come up the church steps. They are dressed in long green cloaks. The man opens the door and you can see light and feel the music.

“Are you coming in?” asks the woman.

“In a minute,” you reply.

The couple walks in with the door closing behind them. Once again you reach for the handle, but you can’t grasp it. You know you can knock on the door and they will let you in, but for some reason you don’t. Why? You understand the people outside can’t feel the doorknob either. You walk to them feeling what? Is this your place? Or inside sitting in the church?

You can try again to open the church door. Does it open this time or not? Or do you go and talk with the people near the fire? Or perhaps you decide to knock on the church door? When you are ready, you will count slowly to five. When you reach five, you will be back in your reality.

How did you find your meeting with the Five of Pentacles? Think on what this card means to you. As always, you can journey back to the Five of Pentacles. For the next two weeks, watch for Five of Pentacles moments in your life. Record and reflect as always in your tarot journal.
