Close your eyes and take deep breaths until you relax.

A knight dressed in golden brown pants and a white shirt trots by on a beautiful brown mare. Is the knight a man or a woman? Does the knight remind you of someone you know? He/She finally stops deep in the forest, then takes out a blanket and pulls out books, maps, and food from a leather bag. There are luscious apples, bananas, blueberries, peaches in a glazed green bowl and a bottle of Chablis.

“Hallo,” calls out the knight. “Take a seat with me.”

You sit beside the knight. “Thank you.” You introduce yourself to the Knight.

“I’m Shale, just on my way home. I decided to take a stop. Have new plans and ideas to present to the majesties and I like to go through everything two of three times until I get home.”

Shale offers you fruit and drink, which you readily accept.

“Take it from me, my friend. Slow and steady is the best way to get things done. You’ve got to see everything, so you can feed your work. You feed your work and your work feeds you.”

You ponder the wisdom of the sage knight. You can stay as long as you want with the Knight of Pentacles. Shale is always happy to listen. When you are ready, you take your leave of the Knight of Pentacles.

“Come back and look up the majesties of our realm. Tell them I sent you. They are great people.”

You walk in a forest for a bit, then straight back into your waking life.

Was your journey with the knight satisfying to you, or you needed more talks with Shale? How can the advice of slow and steady be applied right now to your life? As always, record your experience in your Tarot Journal.
