Close your eyes and feel your feet rooted to the vibrant pulsating earth. Take deep breaths and allow all your worries to fall away into the ground. When you are ready, we can begin.

A crisp winter wind tickles your skin. The scent of fresh pine trees brings clearness to you as you wander in the forest. What time is it? Is it an early morning with the sunlight streaming through the trees or perhaps a clear crystal night with stars above?

You come up around the bend and see a wave of earth swirling on the ground like a whirlpool. You carefully walk up to the wave and realize it is two green pentacles swirling on the ground. You notice on each pentacle a word is written. You try to put one foot on one of the pentacles, but it whizzes by. The pentacle that passed you by says Balance. You see the other flow by and it says Change. As if they know you are here, the pentacles shift even faster until the words are a blur. Once again you sense you aren’t alone. You look around and see no one is there. Then you gaze up into the trees and the wind comes circling you and rustles them. You watch as one of the trees appears to bend down toward you.

“You can make them stop, find it within yourself.”

You hear the voice clearly in your mind. Could it be the tree or your intuition?

You take a deep breath and close your eyes for a moment. Then you take one foot and a pentacle comes toward. Which one came to you first? Is it Balance or Change? Then you put your foot on the other pentacle. Does this feel right to you? Is this the right combination for you? If not, switch feet on the pentacles. When the order is right for you, the pentacles will bond together. How do you feel now? Do you sense the energy from the pentacles or yourself? Looking around the forest, what do you see that you didn’t observe before?

After some time, you’ll take both feet off the pentacles. The tree that may have spoken to you seems to be pointing north. You take ten steps back to your reality; when you are back, think about your journey with the Two of Pentacles. Think about what you what you need in your life: Balance, Change or a combination of both? See if you can bring that about in your life. As always, record and reflect in your tarot journal.
